Founded by Jessica Fleischmann in 2007, Still Room is an award-winning graphic design and creative studio based in Downtown, Los Angeles. The studio is known for its work with arts and cultural organizations, but its interests extend into the ‘everyday’ experience of visual communication – from food and fashion, to healthcare, education and the built environment. Recent commissions include books and exhibition graphics, identity and branding, web design, signage and the creative direction of physical spaces.
The way we work
Still Room aims to create work that is ‘artistic’ but attainable, thoughtful but unpretentious, and relevant without being trend-driven. We start every project afresh working closely with our clients to learn about them, their organization and the way they work. While there is no formula to our design process, common themes around color, typography and materials are explored to the fullest with each new commission.
Why we do what we do
Still Room is a socially, environmentally and politically aware studio that believes good design can bring about positive change. Clients can be from the private and public sector, and have a shared sense of social responsibility. Regardless of client or brief, the studio aims to create work that is memorable and, at its best, influential.
